Non-Negotiables: the N in I.N.V.I.S.I.B.L.E

Non-Negotiables is the Visible OS module that defines the operating rules of the business you're building, the standards you'll uphold, what you'll no longer accept, and the habits that hold the line.

Non-Negotiables is the N of the I.N., the second half of the private groundwork every business does after Vision, before everything else. It defines the operating rules of the business you're building: what standards must the business operate by? Standards are the first quadrant of this module, the subset you commit to upholding, inside the wider frame of what you'll refuse, challenge and build.

Four quadrants: the standards you'll uphold, the boundaries defining what you will no longer accept, the beliefs and assumptions that need challenging, and the operating habits you'll build to hold the line.

This is the module founders most want to skip and most need. Growth problems that look like marketing problems are often non-negotiables problems. The business says yes to wrong-fit clients, tolerates work that dilutes its positioning, and lets urgent crowd out important. No amount of visible-world activity fixes a business that hasn't decided what it won't do. Structure creates freedom; standards are the structure. Part of the Clarity Foundation in Visible OS, and with Initial Position, the IN you work through and shed on the way to VISIBLE.

Aren't non-negotiables just values?

Values describe what you believe. Non-negotiables describe what you'll enforce. The gap between the two is where most cultures, and most positioning, quietly erodes.
